Background and objectives
United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Division for Peace is looking for a dedicated volunteer who will work closely with us on the project that involves the development of a new set of promotional videos: 1 short engaging video promoting all 12 online courses in conflict, peace and security (2-3 minutes), and 12 short engaging videos promoting and showcasing each one of these online courses (30-60 seconds). This volunteer will be responsible for the actual video production and editing and supported by another volunteer in aspects related to storyboard and script development (communicating remotely). The final products will be disseminated globally and will include credits for the production. The volunteer will be provided with branding guidelines, and some sources of visuals and video cuts.

UNITAR is committed to providing access to quality learning opportunities for all onsite UN Volunteers as part of their professional journey and to enhancing knowledge and skills of UNVs in areas relevant to the fulfilment of their responsibilities in the field. Therefore, UNITAR has developed 12 online courses tailored to the specific learning needs of UNVs. The objective of this particular project is to expand the outreach and increase participation in these courses with an ultimate goal of developing global capacities for the promotion of peace and security.
Volunteers: 1 needed
11-20 hours per week / 10 weeks
The volunteer must be a professional video maker and editor. She/He must be able to communicate different ideas through videos in an engaging and creative way. Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Premiere Pro etc.) and other relevant software (e.g. Vyond). Prior experience in public/international sector is an asset. Able to work in a team. Please include examples of your past work (your portfolio), for us to get an idea of your style. Submissions without will not be considered.
