Background and objectives
We are seeking online volunteers to translate up to 10 pages of text for youth employability magazine, from English into Khmer. The articles cover various topics such as awareness, employability, skills development, volunteerism, entrepreneurship, and youth rights at work. Updates and other communications will be made through email with UNV Cambodia. Volunteers are also expected to coordinate their work with one another to ensure the consistency of translation. Volunteers will be duly credited on the final product.
Translation and interpretation
Since youth in rural areas are not exposed to the same amount of information and opportunities compared to their counterparts in cities, we expect our youth employability magazine to act as a bridge to link them to better job opportunities. The magazines will be distributed both online and offline, especially to secondary or high schools in provinces, starting in August 2018. The target audience of our magazine is the younger youth of rural Cambodia, around the age from 15 to 20.
