We are looking for an online volunteer available to support the design and edition of the logo for the UNDP-GEF Global ABS Project. The idea is to generate different samples based on an original design selected from a global brand contest. These samples will help the global project team in finding the best design that represents the spirit of the project. The collaboration between the online volunteer and the global project team will be via email and skype calls depending on the progress of the task. NDP-GEF Global ABS Project will own the rights to the final product. At the end of the assignment, the online volunteer will receive a certificate of appreciation.
The UNDP-GEF Global ABS Project aims at assisting 24 countries in the development and strengthening of their national ABS frameworks, human resources, and administrative capabilities to implement the Nagoya Protocol. Since it is relevant for this project to engage multiple stakeholders, to promote participatory interaction among countries and to articulate with other regional/national initiatives on ABS, a global “brand” is essential to enhance its outreach, visibility and representativenes.
- Experience as a graphic designer with portofolio of completed projects (with demonstrable experience in logo design); - Experience in graphic design software and tools; - Interest in biodiversity and genetic resources issues as means of sustainable development; - In your application, please include web links to your portfolio or to samples of previous works.
