Background and objectives
The Volunteer Solutions Section at UNV is looking for an Online Volunteer who can create a design that showcases the changes made to the Conditions of Service (COS) for International and National UN Volunteers. Ideally, the design would be a one or two-pager, and present the +/-18 policy changes made to the COS so far. We will provide the content to be presented in the design as well as past similar designs. This is a great opportunity to put your talent to the service of a great cause: promoting volunteering worldwide! A contact person will be at the volunteer's disposal to provide raw material, answer questions and give feedback. Only candidates with demonstrable experience in digital design will be considered.

The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. We work with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism. The Conditions of Service (COS) are the rules and regulations by which the UN International and National Volunteer programmes are guided. Recently, the COS have been revised and the layout of the documents have been re-designed. To showcase the 18 major changes made to the COS we need an engaging, one or two-page design made by an Online Volunteer. This document will be distributed widely among UNV staff, Host Entities and UN Volunteers. The UNV programme will own the rights to the final product. The Online Volunteer will receive due credit for their contributions.

Most organizations find the volunteers they need within just a few days and close the opportunities to more applications. So if you see a project that interests you, apply right away and make sure that you show the organization that you have the right skills and motivation for the task!

Online volunteering is rewarding and empowering, but it’s also a serious commitment. When you are chosen for an assignment, the organization is counting on you to complete it.

Our online volunteer community is made up of bright, dynamic, committed individuals who enjoy bringing out the best in each other and in the organizations they serve. We expect all volunteers to maintain high standards of behaviour, and to refrain from any activity that could be detrimental to the assignment, the organization, other volunteers, or to UNV. By registering you accept that you do not make any financial claims to organizations or to UNV. See the Terms of Use for more about standards of conduct and the conditions for using this platform.
