Background and objectives
This assignment will be shared amongst 3 online volunteers with the help of our staff in provision of the information needed in the site development and the following will be each of your responsibility; 1. Web project manager o Account executive o Quality assurance tester o Usability lead o Information architect 2. Art director o Web graphic designer o Interactive designer (Flash, JavaScript, Ajax) o Media specialist (photography, illustration, audiovisual, Adobe Flash) 3. Web technology lead o Web application programmer (.Net, Java, PHP/Perl, Ruby) o Web page engineer (XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax) o HTML page coder o Site copywriter

The Foundation is committed to catering to the needs of the orphans& Vulnerable Children, widows, the abandoned elderly people, physically challenged and the destitute. The foundation provides scholarships to orphans and children of the underprivileged, with educational support given from primary to tertiary levels. There is also a rehabilitation program for drug addicts, prostitutes and street kids from all over Uganda. This website when completed will help us attract various stakeholders with an opportunity to engage with our charity foundation’s projects and programs globally. The information on this website will make other communities, Non-Governmental Organizations, associations, schools, businesses, inter-governmental bodies, potential donors, partners, sponsors and the public be informed with our humanitarian work and online volunteer be issued a certificate of appreciation and featured their contributions
Volunteers: 3 needed
11-20 hours per week / 8 weeks
Although there are no formal educational requirements to become a Web Developer, experience in the field will be expected. Knowledge in the following is a requirement: • HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript • Server architecture • Experience with server-side frameworks such as python, ruby, php, Java, ASP, ASP.NET • Experience with database systems such as SQL and Oracle A Bachelor’s degree in the following subjects should be included: • Computer Science • Computing
