Requirements
We are coordinating the localisation of content for the smartphone app developed by the UN World Food Programme called “ShareTheMeal” into German. ShareTheMeal is an app from the World Food Programme that enables people to "share their meals" with children in need. Because most texts are short, translations can mostly be entered into e-mail, Word or Excel sheets. We are looking to partner with someone who would be willing to work with us on a long-term basis. We are greatly excited about our achievements and future campaigns in which we attempt to fight child hunger all over the world. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to translate a short paragraph as part of the selection process.

ShareTheMeal has received tremendous support from app stores and the general public from almost everywhere - the USA, UK, Korea, Japan, Brazil, EU and others. Your help in the translations will significantly contribute towards the success of our initiative and in doing so benefit a very worthy cause.

Keep this in mind:

Most organizations find the volunteers they need within just a few days and close the opportunities to more applications. So if you see a project that interests you, apply right away and make sure that you show the organization that you have the right skills and motivation for the task!

Online volunteering is rewarding and empowering, but it’s also a serious commitment. When you are chosen for an assignment, the organization is counting on you to complete it.

Our online volunteer community is made up of bright, dynamic, committed individuals who enjoy bringing out the best in each other and in the organizations they serve. We expect all volunteers to maintain high standards of behaviour, and to refrain from any activity that could be detrimental to the assignment, the organization, other volunteers, or to UNV. By registering you accept that you do not make any financial claims to organizations or to UNV. See the Terms of Use for more about standards of conduct and the conditions for using this platform.
