Background and objectives
You will translate an 8,000-word document from English to Khmer . The document, written in English, reports on WISE's launch of a pilot latrine construction subsidy scheme in Phnom Village, Cambodia, in July 2018. The translated document will be shared with WISE's partners and stakeholders in Cambodia. Volunteers will be credited on the report. Volunteers are expected to use Smartcat to carry out the translation. Hours are flexible and communication will be through email. Successful completion of this task may lead to further volunteer translation opportunities.
Translation and interpretation
As part of WISE's community development program, we piloted a latrine construction subsidy scheme in July 2018 with 5 households in Phnom Village, Cambodia. The report will be shared with partners and stakeholders in order to disseminate results and lessons learned, in order to recognise the achievements of everyone involved and so that all parties can identify ways to improve on their work.
Volunteers: 1 needed
11-20 hours per week / 2 weeks
Fluent in Khmer Proficient in English Access to internet (as WISE uses Smartcat for our translations)
