Background and objectives
Requirements
You will write an article related WISE's mission and activities (water, sanitation and hygiene sector). Article will be shared on WISE's website, social media and monthly email newsletters. Article should be between 500 to 1,000 words. For examples visit http://washinseasia.org. You may select content ideas from WISE's list of ideas (see https://airtable.com/shrQrClbQvs90Cc7V), choose to write a volunteer profile or pitch your own idea. The process typically takes 1 to 3 months, depending on the complexity of the article, amount of research or interviews required, and number of rounds of editing/proofreading. Volunteers will be credited on the article. Hours are flexible. Communication will be through email. Successful completion of this assignment may lead to further writing assignments through onlinevolunteering.org

WISE aims to spark thought-provoking conversations about the complexities and challenges of achieving real change in the water, sanitation and hygiene sector. We want to communicate the lived experience of the communities we work with, as well as the people behind WISE.
Volunteers: 10 needed
1-5 hours per week / 12 weeks
Communications or journalism background preferred. Familiarity with Southeast Asia and fluency in Bahasa Indonesia or Khmer highly desirable. A writing sample may be requested.
