Background and objectives
The volunteer will upgrade the current contents (image gallery, events, opportunities and resources ) to design and create pages for events with functional aspects of the website to add dynamic contents to web pages. The expected outcome is to have an updated, efficient & creative website where young people can learn how the organization empowers and educate youths. The competencies of a UI developer include the knowledge of web development tools such as HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, WordPress etc. along with individual capabilities such as human cognition, basic psychology & logic sorting.

WYF is a registered NGO in Malaysia, an NGO in Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC and promotes research, development and documentation of youth programmes beneficial to youth worldwide. Since 1994, the Foundation has provided a platform for the interchange of ideas among youth organisations both locally and internationally. We mobilize online volunteers through the UNV Online Volunteering Service. As our partner base and demand to reach out to more young people grow, we are now seeking for 2 volunteers who would help on our website to improve the look of the site, update data and features when necessary The Foundation supports the work of the UN and have adopted ten out of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals for the next 15 years.
Volunteers: 1 needed
6-10 hours per week / 12 weeks
•Degree in, web designing & developing; •2+ years front-end development experience: HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, ASP, C, C++, C#, Java, J#, Jscript, Pascal, Perl / Cgi-bin, SQL, XML, Visual Basick; Agile development & angularJS; Photoshop, Fireworks, WordPress; •Knowledge of server-side programming such as .Net, etc.; •Independent, hardworking, able to meet deadline & work in a team; •Experience defining technical expectations & goals of projects.
