We seek support for our organization’s fundraising campaign for the YELD Mentorship Program. The overall objective is to help us ensure our organization’s finances are sustainable and necessary funds are at our disposal to support our projects. To this end, we are looking for 25 experienced grant writing volunteers who will become part of our fundraising team as online volunteers and help us with outreach and other fundraising-related tasks by developing fundraising strategies, sharing innovative fundraising ideas, researching potential donor organizations, and funding opportunities, helping draft letters and correspondence, writing project proposals, providing advice on how to approach donors, etc.

Development programme/project administration
The mobilization of financial resources is key to sustaining the activities of grassroots organizations such as the Youth Entrepreneurship and Leadership Development (YELD) in her service delivery to Young Entrepreneurs. One of such main sources of funding remains the international donor community. The volunteers will contribute in raising the requisite funds for the organization to carry out her program and projects in realizing the entrepreneurial success of under-resourced startups under our mentorship program. Our organization strives to complement efforts made by international development partners and governments to scale up youth enterprise development. However, to source funding from donor agencies has become very competitive. Hence, the need for strong, viable and winning project proposals to access the dwindling available funds from relevant donor agencies. That is where the services of the volunteers become indispensable. After the successful collaboration for this assignment, the online volunteers will be awarded certificates of appreciation, and their input shall be mentioned in relevant publications of the organization.
Volunteers: 25 needed
11-20 hours per week / 24 weeks
Fundraising experts, great events’ organizers, and grant proposal writing experts, with a strong civil society and business background especially in sustainable economic development and youth advocacy are eligible. Strong communication skills, particularly in ICT/digital communication would be a plus. The volunteers need to have access to the internet, e-mail, and social media contact to facilitate exchanges and communication. English is the sole language of communication.
