Background and objectives
The YPDO is based on the Copperbelt province of Zambia and seeks the services of volunteers to help research on organisations that can help us to find donors for brass band equipment and musical instruments that we can use to empower the kids for using in the fight against health challenges in our area as well as entertain the community. The project aims at helping over 1,000 youths acquire life changing skills(messages) and use the music as tool for social change. The volunteer shall be provided with the necessary information to accomplish a task . Communications shall be via Skype, telegram and email. The volunteer will not be asked to submit donation requests on behalf of the organization.
Resource mobilization, partnership and donor coordination
The Youth Press and Development Organisation is a non profit organisation whose focus is to use sport to impact health education on personal hygiene and environmental awareness. However, the YPDO believes that not every child can participate in sport hence this initiative of music being a medium of community collaboration is the right vehicle to help the children learn about health challenges. The YPDO also has a team of trained local volunteers in delivering the information once the brass band equipment and musical instruments are available to the children. We a targeting over 1000 kids in delivering the message.
