Background and objectives
The YPDO is based on the Copperbelt province of Zambia and seeks the services of volunteers to help research on organisations that can help us to find donors for chess boards and clocks that we can use to empower the kids for using in the fight against health challenges in our area.The project aims at helping over 3,000 youths acquire chess skills and use the sport as tool for social change. The volunteer shall be provided with the necessary information to accomplish a task . Communications shall be via Skype,telegram and email. Each volunteer will be given specific responsibilities based on region and continents . The volunteers will not be asked to submit donation requests on behalf of the organization.
Resource mobilization, partnership and donor coordination
The Youth Press and Development Organisation is a non profit organisation whose focus is to use sport to impact health education on personal hygiene and environmental awareness. The Y.P.D.O believes that chess being a medium of community collaboration is the right vehicle to help the children learn about health challenges and increase intellectual capabilities. The Y.P.D.O also has a team of trained local volunteers in delivering the information once the chess are available to the children. We aim to have atleast 50 chess sets targeting over 3000 kids in delivering the message.
Volunteers: 2 needed
6-10 hours per week / 4 weeks
Proven experience in research for Donors. The volunteer should have experience in research and organization of information. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
