We are looking for a volunteer with experience in public relations (PR), content creation, social communication and journalism, who is passionate about social impact. If you have exceptional talent and proven track record for idea generation, creating thoughtful content, image/buzz-building, and public relations (ideally in social or disability sector). If you are someone who is full of ideas around how we can communicate stories of change to the world, then we need you on our team.Volunteer assignment responsibilities include
Content Strategy: Working with the Digital Marketing team to create content strategy for our platform, social media and blogs; Write long and short-form articles for campaign/fundraising partnerships; Work with team with campaign creation, video and content; Assist with content for social media posts and sponsored stories and manage all our social media channels: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube; help with content for website and newsletters.
The Nathan Ebanks Foundation is seeking to grow its brand awareness, so as to attract funding to carry out its substantive work of supporting the holistic development of children with disabilities in Jamaica and building the capacity of parents, teachers and other professionals to effectively support the children and youths. The Nathan Ebanks Foundation is not funded as as such relies on donors, grants and volunteers to carry out its work.
Our organization is seeking to achieve three main objctives for 2016; These are:
Objective # 1: To increase/build brand awareness, build website traffic and grow social media following and engagmeent.
Objective # 2 is to generate a strong social media campaign ideas and strategies which to spark social media actions, reactions and interactions for our cause and our organization
Objective #3 to raise revenues - grow donors/donations, promote the organization's products and services
Requirement: 2+ years in copy-writing experience in Advertising / Community Building / Branding / Digital Agency (social sector experience a plus); full time work experience in-house with a PR firm or consumer brand managing media relations (strongly preferred); degree in mass media, journalism or marketing; Key media relationships across mediums - online, print, TV; Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and sincere passion to change the world.
