Contexto y objetivos
We are looking for someone with R or Python capacities that would be able to conduct in-depth word and text analysis based on a survey conducted with migrants throughout West and Central Africa. This survey was conducted with more than 30.000 migrants. It contains closed questions, but the last part of this questionnaire contained an open-ended section where the enumerator could add comment. We would like to find someone able to analyse those comments and developed a word and text analysis based on this. R and Python have a free software called IRamuteq that could be used for this type of analysis ( It is expected that this task would have a deliverable in the form of a statistical and narrative report of these "comment" section. The information is anonymized.
The project the UN Online Volunteer would be working on is a region-wide project conducted by our organization that is meant to collect individual data on migrants traveling in West and Central Africa. This project has so far collected more than 30,000 interviews in 7 countries in the region. Though we have been able to conduct quantitative analysis of this work, we're lacking the qualitative element from this "comment" section that seems to contain a lot of interesting information indicated by the enumerator following each interview.
