We are looking for a volunteer to scrutinize the financial statements of Development Initiative Network (DIN Malawi) and report on their financial positions. In this context we are looking for volunteers who are ready to help our work as auditor for the year of 2017-2018 FY. Responsibilities 1) Plan effective auditing processes 2) Audit financial statements and assess accounts for accuracy and regulatory compliance 3) Inspect internal systems and controls 4) Assess risk management tactics 5) Report systematic errors or fraud indicators 6) Investigate specific issues regulatory bodies bring forward 7) Explain audit findings and recommend solutions

We are a Malawian NGO working in Chikwawa district of Malawi that was established to respond to the needs and challenges affecting communities in Malawi. Currently, we are implementing a 50:50 campaign programme which seeks to empower female citizens, including adolescent girls, to participate actively in various leadership and decision-making processes. In 2017- 2018, we implemented the program ‘Improving access to, and quality education for girls’. The objective of which was to create a conducive school environment for girls and boys to access quality primary and secondary education that is inclusive for all. DIN Malawi in 2017-18 started a tailoring project called ‘Tipindule “Let’s Make Profit” project’. The main goal was to empower young women in the community and equip them with the skills to become self-reliant through tailoring. We were able to use to purchase 15 sewing machines to help teach the young women tailoring skills. The main objective is to provide useful insight and unearth problematic situations regarding the finances and processes of organization. To ensure the validity and legality of the financial records of the organisation

Requirements 1) Proven experience as an External Auditor 2) Experience in data analysis and financial reporting 3) Knowledge of accounting standards based on the International Accounting Standards 4) Excellent verbal and written communication skills 5) Sound judgement and decision-making ability 6) Strong organizational skills 7) Keen attention to detail 8) Qualified and registered auditor and have the common Seal/ stamp A confidenciality agreement would be signed
