Contexte et objectifs
We are currently seeking a volunteer translator to support us with a Spanish to English translation of 200 page report of childhood and adolescence in the digital age. It is a comparative report of the Kids Online studies from Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica and Uruguay. The translator will participate in skype calls with the ECLAC team in charge of this report to discuss progress.
Traduction et interprétation
The report is composed by a series of articles, produced by the different researchers that compose the Kids online network of Latin America. This research network originates from the Global Kids Online network, which was developed as a collaborative initiative between the UNICEF-Innocenti Research Office, the London School of Economics and Political Sciences , LSE), and the EU Kids Online network in Europe, with the aim of collecting information in relation to the rights, opportunities and risks of children in the digital age. ECLAC sought to strengthen the work of this network in Latin America by promoting a comparative analysis with a regional perspective. The on line volunteers will receive a certificate after finishing their collaborations.
Volontaires: 3 requis
20+ heures par semaine/ 3 semaines
The volunteer should be a native English speaker and have translation training and experience. The volunteer should be familiar to concepts related to the digital era and digital skills. Pre-selected candidates will be invited to translate a short paragraph as part of the selection process. Applicants are requested to submit their resume when they apply.
