Contexte et objectifs
IPC-IG is looking for online volunteers to provide support with translations and research on: (i) evidence on government programs promoting employment in Iran enacted under the Sixth National Development Plan; and (ii) selected sources concerning the governance of Iran’s social protection system, including aspects of institutional decentralization. The volunteer work will include: a) mapping of nationally-provided employment programmes and review of the Government’s most recent reports; b) identify and compile information on key national programmes in both governmental and non-governmental sources; c) support the analysis and translation of key government documents; d) double-check official documents and websites in Farsi to complement and cross-check information available in English compiled by our Research Team. Selected online volunteers are to work under the supervision and coordination of IPC-IG Research Team.
Traduction et interprétation
The research covers social protection programmes and institutional mapping of social protection in Iran, as part of a broader research project on social protection in MENA conducted in partnership with UNICEF. The IPC-IG is a joint project of the United Nations Development Programme and the Brazilian Government to facilitate South-South Cooperation on key development issues. The IPC-IG’s mandate is to promote the production and dissemination of studies and policy recommendations, the exchange of best practices in development initiatives and the expansion of South-South cooperation. Objective: to support research activities and the analysis of Iran’s social protection system. Online Volunteers will receive a certificate of appreciation for their contributions and be acknowledged in the final publication of documents. Online Volunteers will work remotely at a time and location of their convenience, subject to the deadlines set.

Fluency in Farsi and English, preference will be given to native speakers. Independent internet and laptop access. Knowledge of social protection – highly desirable. Legal, governance, or policy background – highly desirable. Previous experience in translation considered a strong asset. Please upload your CV in English.
