Information du public
In the context of its Break the Plastic Wave Campaign, Surfrider Foundation Europe is conducting a detailed assessment of the state of transposition of the Single Use plastics Directive across Europe. Volunteers' contributions will be used to draft a European assessment report that will detail for each country which national law was adopted to transpose the European Directive on single use plastics and dive into the details of the measures that were adopted as part of this transposition. Under this Directive, EU Member States are required to ban a series of plastic products, to take measures to reduce the consumption of certain single-use plastics for which there is no alternative (drinking cups including covers and lids, and containers of prepared food for immediate consumption), to comply with a collection target for the recycling of plastic bottles among a series of other measures which also include marking, awareness raising, etc. For this report to be drafted, we are asking volunteers for their help with short briefings on the legal situation on single use plastics following the adoption of this Directive.
